Amazon Moves Into Blockchain With A New Partnership | CNBC


Amazon’s cloud computing arm is looking to make it easier for customers to use blockchain with a new partnership announced Tuesday.

Amazon Web Services is partnering with Ethereum blockchain platform Consensys to make it easier for customers to use the technology that underpins most cryptocurrencies. Together, they will launch a service called Kaleido. AWS said the new service will help its customers “move faster” and not have to “worry about managing blockchain themselves”.

Consensys founder Joseph Lubin said this is Amazon’s biggest move yet into blockchain. AWS is is the tech giant’s cloud computing arm. It offers a paid subscription for cloud computing platforms to individuals, companies and governments.
